GHANA BLACK STARS PLAYS GUINEA IN PARIS

The Ghana Football Association has confirmed the Black Stars will play Guinea in an international friendly this Saturday in Paris, France.

This forms part of preparations for next month's penultimate 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

According to media reports, invitations have been handed to two rookies: Leicester City's Joe Dodoo and defender Kadri Mohammed of Ghana Premier League side AshantiGold.

A statement on the association's official website read: "The game forms part of the senior national team’s preparation towards next month’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Mauritius.

"The match will also give the Coach Avram Grant the opportunity to assess some players who will be handed call-ups into the team."

Head coach Avram Grant is yet to announce his squad for the two assignments.

Ghana top Group H with 10 points and a point in Mauritius will seal their place at next year’s Nations Cup finals in Gabon.

Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho is to demand a new contract worth £150,000-a-week, according to the Daily Mirror.

The 19-year-old has out-scored £49 million signing Raheem Sterling this season and feels his performances have earned him a significant pay-rise.

Iheanacho, a full Nigeria international, has scored 13 goals in his first campaign with the senior team and currently earns £15,000 a week.

Wilfried Bony, on the other hand, was bought for £28m in 2014 and is reportedly earning a weekly wage of £100,000 plus a £20,000 match bonus, but has scored just six Premier League goals.
